Job Title PRESS OPERATOR

Description We are looking for an experienced Comco ProGlide and/or MarkAndy press operator. This is a full time position, competitive wage (DOE), with a benefit package. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years flexo printing experience including process work and unsupported film. In addition the candidate will have a desire to create individual, team, and company success, and enjoy running a press. The key responsibilities for this FLEXOGRAPHIC PRESS OPERATOR III are to: • Set up, tear down, and execute all related activities to run presses. • Ensure quality control on press support work. • Ensure print job meet/exceed customer specifications. • Assist in the scheduling of jobs as necessary. • Communicate and identify areas of improvement, assist in developing alternatives and recommend solutions to Production Lead. • Suggest changes to production area procedures/equipment to improve quality, productivity, or process flow, including floor organization, scheduling techniques, etc. • Conduct routine press maintenance activities. • Provide press support as necessary. • Maintain press area housekeeping to ensure clean and safe working environment. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: • High School degree or GED required. • 4 years Press Operator experience. KEY SKILL-SET REQUIRED: • Press Operation Expertise on following o Up to 8 color spot color jobs o Supported film, paper, and foil substrates o Inline Foil o 4 Color Process o Custom Color Matching o Tag/Tickets o Turret Rewinder o Fanfolder o Ink System o Material Knowledge • Press Operation Proficiency on following: o Unsupported Film o Laminated Film o Demetalization • Proficiency in reading English, understanding, and executing production work orders. • Machinery repair experience. • Basic computer skills. • Strong math skills. • Press maintenance experience. MUSTS: • Ability to lift 50-100 lbs. on a regular basis, and excellent measurement skills required. • Team player with initiative, able to work independently. • The ability and commitment to meet production overtime requirements. • The ability and commitment to work off-shifts as required. • Strong production focus.
