What is Global Cash Card?

SmartTalent is pleased to bring you the Global Cash Card, a pay card that offers many options and benefits. We encourage you to set up your personal account with Global Cash Card at www.globalcashcard.com or at the SmartTalent site at http://goo.gl/S20W6 as soon as possible.  It takes 7-10 business days to get your personalized card and checks once you activate your card.  Once activated, you can begin to learn about all the benefits as well as the best way to use your card with no fees or the least amount depending upon how you choose to use your card.  You can also learn how to earn and receive rewards and discounts Your Global Cash Card (GCC) belongs to you and not SmartTalent and should be treated with the same care as you would with any credit or debit card from any other financial institution.  Also, please review your GCC orientation packet for terms and a list of fee transactions that might apply.  We hope the following questions and answers below will help you better understand your new Global Cash Card.

How Will My Pay Card Work?

SmartTalent will load your card with your pay on payday. You will have immediate access to your funds at nearly one million ATM’s and millions of merchants worldwide.

Is Your Money Secure?

Yes.  Your money is protected by the use of a PIN and VISA’s Zero Liability. Additionally, all card balances are guaranteed by the F.D.I.C.

What If I Lose My Card?

Report it immediately to Global Cash Card Service Center at (866) 395-9200. Global Cash Card will freeze your card balance and issue a new card and transfer your balance to a new card.

How Do I Know That I Have Been Paid?

You will be notified by e-mail or text message that your card was loaded. There are several options with this feature once you have activated your card. Just go online or give GCC a call at (866) 395-9200.

How Can I Check My Balance or Confirm Transactions?

  • You can view balances and transactions online at globalcashcard.com free of charge
  • You can hear your balance and transaction history free by calling (866) 395-9200 and following prompts
  • You can talk to a live Customer Service Representative free by calling (866) 395-9200 and following the prompts

How Do I Get Started?

You must activate your card online with Global Cash Card at www.globalcashcard.com or the SmartTalent site at http://goo.gl/S20W6 or by calling (866) 395-9200 and following the prompts. You will choose a PIN. Once activated, you will be able to access your funds.

Are There Any Monthly or Yearly Fees?

No.  There are only small transaction fees on certain transactions.

How Do I Keep My Transaction Fees Low?

  • When making purchases, select “Credit” at the PIN Pad…There is no fee
  • Always ask for “Cash Back” at grocery stores when using your PIN. The “Cash Back” is free of any fee
  • Always know your balance so you can avoid a decline and over limit fees
  • Check your balance online or on the telephone and other options…It is free

Where Can I Use My Card?

  • Access funds at nearly one million ATM’s worldwide (Allpoint & Moneypass sur-charge free locations)
  • Make purchases at two million merchants that accept PIN based cards
  • Make purchases anywhere VISA is accepted (Over twenty-nine million merchants worldwide)

Can Other Payments Be Loaded To My Card?

Yes.  Tax refunds, Disability payments and other governmental benefits can be loaded to your card.

Can I Use My Card To Purchase On The Internet?

Yes.  Many merchants accept your Debit Visa as a form of payment. You also have access to online Bill Payment through your cardholder site.

Am I Liable If My PIN Or Card Has Been Lost Or Stolen?

You must notify Global Cash Card immediately at (866) 395-9200. If you notify GCC within two days, your maximum loss would be no more than $50. If you do not notify GCC, you could lose up to $500. If you do not notify GCC within sixty (60) days you could lose all the money on your card.

Can I Still Get Copies Of My Pay Check Stub?

Yes.  Just log into your cardholder site and follow the prompts to view and/or print your stub(s).

Can I Transfer A Portion Or All Of My Balance Elsewhere?

Yes.  Just log into your cardholder site and follow the prompts.

Can I Use My Card At A Gas Station, Hotel, Car Rental Agency, Restaurant, Etc.?

Yes.  But there are certain limitations. For example: Car Rental agencies may obtain as much as $500 to preauthorize your transaction and will place a hold on that amount. Gas Stations may preauthorize at least $76 to authorize the transaction at the pump and hold this money for 2-3 days. Otherwise, you will need to complete the transaction inside the gas station for a specific amount with no hold on your funds. If you have less than any of these types of pre-transaction amounts your card will be declined.
